What an honor it is to serve as the Assistant Principal for the best school in the district!  I am about to begin my 18th year in Chino Valley Unified School District.  I have been assigned to Newman for fourteen of these years.  I began my educational career in 1996 as a 2nd grade teacher at Newman Elementary School. I served as a 2nd grade teacher for three years, and as a fourth grade teacher for one year before being hired as Newman's Assistant Principal in 2001.  I have had the opportunity to experience many changes and events over the years.  I am excited about the many challenges and opportunities that we will encounter together.  TOGETHER is the operative word.  I have no doubt that we can accomplish whatever we set our minds to if we work together as a family.  As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child."  We, together as parents, school professionals, and your student(s) are in the perfect position to provide the greatest educational benefit for your student.  This team effort will provide the foundation for their success in life.  While there is no doubt that our dedicated staff, students and parents will have to maintain a laser-like focus on the task at hand, we will also balance our work with fun activities and noon sports.  We will continue to provide a safe, productive, and memorable educational experience for the entire family.  We are dedicated to do whatever it takes to succeed.   I cannot wait to get started on year #15 with our fantastic Newman Knights!  This year will be a blast!  I look forward to seeing you all on the playground and in class!  Go Newman Knights!  Mr. C.
