Director
The Department of Access and Equity supports school sites in providing equitable services to all students—especially English Learners, Foster Youth, Title I participants, and students experiencing homelessness—district resources, professional development, and targeted interventions are aligned to address academic achievement gaps, ensure access to rigorous curriculum, and promote inclusive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students.
ENGLISH LEARNER PROGRAMS AND SUPPORTS:
CVUSD is committed to supporting students who are learning English while also mastering academic content. English Learners (ELs) receive daily English Language Development (ELD) instruction, along with targeted academic support throughout the school day to ensure access to grade-level curriculum.
Our teachers receive ongoing training in research-based strategies designed to meet the unique needs of English Learners. This helps ensure that all EL students are set up for success both in their academic achievement and in their English language acquisition.
Families are encouraged to stay involved by attending ELAC meetings at their school, DELAC meetings at the district level, and by visiting the CVUSD LCAP webpage for more information.
HOME-SCHOOL-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
CVUSD is committed to building strong partnerships between schools and families. Our department's Coordinator of Parent and Family Engagement, along with our District Community Liaison, provides a wide range of educational opportunities designed to empower and support parents and guardians.
Through parent academies and workshops offered at the Family Engagement Center and school sites, families can participate in training on topics such as supporting academic achievement, understanding school systems, preparing for college and career, and promoting social-emotional well-being.
These events are designed to equip parents with the tools and information needed to help their children succeed in school, thrive socially and emotionally, and prepare for life beyond graduation. We believe that when schools and families work together, students benefit the most.
TITLE I PROGRAM
Chino Valley Unified School District is proud to support student achievement through Title I school-wide programs at many of our elementary, junior high, and high schools. Title I is a federally funded program that provides additional academic support and resources to help ensure that all students meet challenging state standards.
Families are encouraged to stay informed and engaged by participating in their school's School Site Council (SSC) meetings, where important decisions about the Title I program, goals, and funding are discussed.
The following schools are currently identified as Title I schools:
