Spring break starts Friday, March 24th and goes through April 2nd. See you back at school on April 3rd! Enjoy!!
Our first week of testing will be in the mornings of April 10th-13th and will include all of our English-Language Arts testing. Please do not schedule dentist or doctor's appointments during this time (from 8:40-10:40 am) on these four days. Students who come late will not be allowed to test with the class and will have to make up the test at another time. As always though, please keep sick students home. To encourage the best testing results, please encourage your child to get plenty of rest this week and to eat a healthy breakfast. Thank you!
**California Travel Journal Project**
Directions go home March 21st and the project is due on May 1st. To summarize the directions: students will pretend to take a multi-stop trip through California and write a journal about their "travels" (This is a research project; actual travel is not necessary.) They must visit a national park, a state park, a mission, a major city, a gold rush town, and a tourist attraction. Students must visit 3 of the 4 regions of California. The report will include an introductory page, a map showing the route and labeling all 6 places, a 1-3 paragraph write up for each location visited, a conclusion page, and a bibliography. Students will then be giving an oral presentation of their journal. See instructions for more complete details.
